• YouthAIDS, which promotes educating young people on the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases, is hosting a charity cocktail party fundraiser tonight at Trina Restaurant and Lounge at the Atlantic Hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

• Half of the money raised from the event will help fund production of additional YouthAIDS public service announcements, according to Trina spokesman Steven Rice.

• The event, which will feature martinis and gourmet tapas, will start at 7 p.m. There is no cover charge.

Trina Lounge is at 601 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., across from the beach.
